When we were in Italy about 5 years ago the only thing on television that was in English was the Tour de France. I became fascinated in the sport and am now quite obsessive about it. I am not a cyclist, just an occasional rider, but I absolutely love to follow the sport of cycling. It goes without saying that I think Lance Armstrong is amazing. I have been following his career of course, but along with him I love following riders like Levi Leipheimer, George HIncapie, the Schleck brothers, Mark Cavendish, and tons of others. When Lance announced that he would be racing in the Tour this year I was determined to be among the millions of fans and spectators. I know everyone has their "dream trips" of somewhere or something they would like to do or see before they die so I guess you could say that this is MINE. The Tour goes to the alps on Tuesday, so tune in...it is gruelling!!
